Acclaimed children's author and comedian David Walliams has been dropped by his longtime publishing house, the company has said.
An official for the firm stated: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the conclusion was made after an review of allegations of questionable actions directed at women.
The firm did not confirm the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss private personnel issues."
An Illustrious Publishing History
Walliams is one of the UK's most best-selling authors for kids, having sold more than 60 million copies worldwide in five dozen languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins in 2008.
A number of his works, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.
His bibliography includes over four dozen titles altogether, encompassing a Christmas book named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.
Television and Literature
His initial claim to fame came on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE back in 2017 in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
